    Hi all,

Just got my y580 yesterday and I'm loving it! I have a question related to the USB ports on the laptop. My previous laptop was a ASUS N56 which I'm returning for this laptop. It had the capability or charging phones @ full rate. Most USB ports charge at a maximum of 500ma. The ASUS had the ability to charge @ 1A. On my Galaxy Nexus phone, it would show as charging in (AC) mode when plugged into the ASUS. On the Lenovo it shows as charging in (USB) mode. When charging in AC mode, the phone can be charged incredibly fast. However, when charging in USB mode the phone can barely maintain a charge at times depending on how much power draw you are using such as GPS, games, Hotspot, etc.

Does anyone know how to enable the extra amperage on the USB ports?

    Thanks,
    Paul
