    Hi,

I have the Y580 with the 660m, and my max temp when gaming is only 70 degrees! I really want to overclock and get more performance. What program should I use and what should my clocks be?

Please don't direct me to the 600 series overclock guide as it isn't very specific for what I want to know.

    Thanks in advance!

Use msi afterburner and slowly increase clocks.. in most cases u can Max out the core clock.. but be careful with the memory clock

I always thought it was the other way around; that you could max out memory clocks no problem, but to be careful with core clocks. Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out later today.

well the thing with the gtx660M and after burner is ... well you can only overclock the core by +135Mhz.. so not very much but the memory goes up to.. *checking..

    +1000Mhz...
stock clocks are about 850-950 on the core
    and 2500 on the memory..
only reason why you can max out the core is because of the limitations put on... otherwise.. nothing can be maxxed out.. you always go up in small increments :) remember to watch GPU temps and be very careful.. ive gotten mine up to 87 without overclocking in COD BO2 and it didnt downclock or throttle.. so just a bit of a heads up :)

That's disappointing that core clocks max out at 950 because they go up to that under the Lenovo dynamic graphics setting anyways. Does boosting memory clocks actually make a difference in game?

Sorry for the double post (you can't edit in Tapatalk). I misread your post. Are you saying you can put the core clocks to 1085 (950 + 135)?
