    Hi,

I recently ordered myself a Y580 with a 500GB 7200RPM HDD, and am planning on throwing in a SSD I've had laying around. My question is: Could I do the following without problem:

    A) Ghost the windows partition to the SSD
    B) Backup the Lenovo Partition to an External USB drive in case of need
    C) Backup an image of the OEM partition to an External in case of need.

And of course, this is after making recovery discs. Mainly I want to keep all the lenovo stuff included in windows, while maximizing the space on my SSD.

For any of you that have done a SSD change, or even a clean install, how has it worked out so far? Would anyone recommend just doing a clean install on it and installing things from the Lenovo partition after?

I'm a little new at this part, so anyone got some good advice for me?
