Hey all, complete noob here when it comes to the newer solid state drives...
After browsing the Canadian Lenovo site for a few days, i just realized that Costco sells them. Great warranty and return policy, yeah!
Anyway, looking to get the model with the 750GB 5400 drive, and a 16GB SSD..

Question - what do I do with the SSD?? Is the operating system installed on it out of the box, thus quick boot times, and that is that, don't use it for anything else, just leave it?

    Sorry for the dumb question!

    Hello,

The SSD, in the configuration from your lenovo you postet, only works for caching and to boost up the boot.
The operating system is already installed on the HDD and both the HDD and the SSD are combined to "one" drive, with the programm rapiddrive.

    Hope i explained it right.
If not, please feel free to correct me.

    Nice Greetz,
