    Hello
So I just picked up a Y580 for a steal and loving it!!! way better then my over priced MacBook Pro.

    i7
    8GB Ram
    1TB
    32GB Msata
    BlueRay

So I really wan to take full advantage of the Msata speed and Im not sure how its supposed to work. I can see it as a drive and tried to install Photo Shop on it but it wouldn't let me select the drive. Right know it has windows 7 installed and I have a free one time install of windows 8 through my school, and I have used it and liked it a lot. I was planing on doing a fresh install.

This is the question, can I install windows 8 on the Msata, and is there a way to install photo shop and other software on it?

second can I burn blue rays?

From what I have read elsewhere you can install OS on the mSATA drive you have. You might have to change the way the drive is looked at as cache drive vs another drive in the BIOS setup. Not sure if 32Gb is good enough. Others comment !!!!

Also I don't think Y580 comes with a blue ray writer unless you yourself configure it to have it by paying the extra bucks.

I can currently see both drives, so I don't think the Msata is cashing it gets slow when copying files to the main hard drive. Windows 8 takes up 20GB of space so I think Im better off buying a SSD and installing the HD in the ODD space. I think Im going to just wait for an SSD and install the OS and all my adobe software in it.

If I move my HD to the ODD space can can I still set up the Msata drive to speed things up?
