    Hello,
    First, thanks for the help!

Basically, I would like to do this:
NVIDIA Optimus - ThinkPad Multiple Monitor Configurations

I would like to ask how can I hook up 2 monitors on the Y580.
Hardware wise, I have connected both monitor to the laptop, one to the VGA, one to the HDMI.

The compute register it as such
(laptop + Analog (VGA) + VT2300LED(HDMI)) - see attached picture

However, the computer keep indicating the HD4000 only support 2 displays. I know the GTX660m supports up to 4 screens.

How do i set it so that the GTX660m takes control and outputs to both my monitors instead?

I would like the GTX660m to be on at all time while i have the computer plugged in.

Thanks a lot again for paying attention here!
    cheers,

This has confused a lot of people in the past including myself.
You can only have 3 ACTIVE displays (including laptop) to the Y580, VGA, HDMI & Laptop display.
The VGA & HDMI are connected directly to the motherboard & are controlled by the Intel HD4000 & can not be disabled or changed to GTX660m via bios.
To properly configure or modify multiple display settings you can ONLY do this via the Intel Graphics & Media control panel.

You simply cannot do this, since the video goes through the intel chip to the Nvidia. You can only have VGA or HDMI since intel's Chip is what actually does the splitting. Intel's 4000 can only support 2 monitors max unfortunately (which is including your built in monitor)!
