I'm having an issue with playing games on my Y580. When I load DayZ, it gets to the menu selecting and the game will freeze, and then go black (I think) . I am able to control alt delete. But clicking anything there or anywhere else on the desktop doesn't work and I'm forced to hard reset my laptop. It happens on the same spot every time on days. Which makes me think it's not temperature. I monitored it for as long as I can and it appears fine.

. It also happens on the new south park game, the stick of truth. On this game it happened twice but at random times.

    _i have a new HDD
_I tested my RAM and came up with no errors.
    _temperatures seem fine

I'm going to install 3Dmark and run that and see what happens there a after work tonight.

    GeForce 660m
    i7 2.4

Does anyone have any ideas where I should start? I want to find the issue so I can send it back to squaretrade and tell them the issue instead of having them look for it and find nothing

Additional things. After I shut the laptop off and get back to the desktop it shows that the computer is not connected to the charger. But that could just be a laptop safety thing,maybe...I have to unplug the cord from the brick and plug it back in.

Post is all over the place cause I wrote as things came to me. Thanks for reading , I look forward to your replys
