    You should be more specific. HDD?, CPU?, GPU?

    I guess you refer to the HDD. I'm no expert, but if I remember correctly you should check your HDD manufacturer and see the temp range. But I think it might be crossing the recommended upper threshold.

    Edit:

    You could get a cooling pad or move the HDD to the ODD with a caddy.

    Yes I was referring to hard drive temp, and I believe for the y580 the max recommended temp is 52 degrees. So I was wondering if it's okay hitting 54.

    The HDD max recommended operating temp is 60c not 54c

    Oh sure I see how it is... Lol

    Just Google your hdd model, specs don't change just because it's in a different chassis.
