    Y580 windows 8 with 32 gb ssd fail.

    Need help i have a y580 with 32 gb ssd from lenovo. When i install windows 8 i get this error when i select drive 0 which is 32 gb and it gives me this error code 0x80070057).. Unfortunately i did the thing where u separate the two drives.

    if that doesn't work, call lenovo and ask them about the code and solutions. I'm pretty sure you're not the first person who's had this error.


    I played with rapiddrive once after installing my own ssd, and after I tried to separate the drives, I also got a failed bootup. I had to wipe the whole ssd and start over. I don't remember how i did it though.

    i would avoid rapiddrive. Even if they came out with a win8 driver, i wouldn't install it.
