I only have 69gb free, I notice a ton of bloat what can I remove to reclaim my advertised space? Also, I am new to windows, is there anything I should do to optimize performance battery life? Well, I'm not "new" like I've never used it, but I haven't used 8 or 8.1

Backup the software and drivers on the D: drive to an external source (USB flash drive or HDD) then delete the D: partition and expand the C: drive. If you want a bit more, you can shrink the recovery partition to gain a few more GB.
Or, if you really want to max out space, you could make a Windows-8 recovery USB (make sure you have it copy recovery data to the USB) and delete the recovery partition as well. Note that if you do that, one key recovery will no longer work, you must use the USB drive instead. I used a 16GB flash drive and had enough room for the recovery data and the software from the D: drive (barely enough, but it all fit). If the partitions on the Y2-13 are the same as the Pro, you should gain nearly 40GB of additional space.
As far as bloatware goes, most of the Lenovo stuff is pretty small. You could try turning some of the services off to see how it affects the system, then uninstall the stuff that has no adverse affects.
The McAfee security suite is a big boat (not to mention, a performance hit). You could remove that and re-enable Windows defender and firewall. If you do that, go to the McAfee site first and look for their uninstall/removal tool. It will do the final cleanup after you uninstall it to remove leftover crap.
