My yellow power-on USB port has partially stopped working. It charges connected devices (ex: Samsung Captivate phone). However, mass storage mode doesn't engage: It engages in the other two ports. My laptop is a Lenovo X201.

Are there any settings I should be looking to correct? This port was working just fine until 2 days ago. Then it just stopped working. I have updated ALL available packages via Updates Manager, including the BIOS, but I still can't get the port to recognize connected devices. Any help/suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe there is a setting in BIOS to disable the always-on functionality of the yellow USB port. Try marking that setting and see whether your issues are resolved (albeit at the cost of removing the always-on functionality), and we'll be able to come up with further ideas/solutions from there.

I tried that via both BIOS and Power Manager. No luck. Not sure if I need to swap my Motherboard. Thx.
