I've been playing Path of Exile at 900p recently and while it runs and looks great, it gets extremely hot. The fan runs a lot but it still gets very very hot and I am worried about it damaging the laptop (I plan to game a lot).

Any ideas? Speedfan only tells me the temperature, but it cannot set the fan to run 100% at all times.

I have also tried lowering the graphics settings and resolution, but it does not seem to affect the heat. I'll just get more FPS, but the APU runs just at hot and works just as hard.

    Advice greatly appreciated!

There's a thread about undervolting somewhere around here but I doubt that will help much it the game is taxing your system that much. If you plan to game a lot you might want to look into one of those laptop coolers to give it some extra help during long gaming sessions.

Thanks. I'm just hoping noting bad will come of it (a restart due to overheating is no big deal compared to frying the chip or MOBO)
