Sooo.... anybody ever face this issue?

I bought a Yoga 13 locally and performed a clean install of Win 8.1

Ever since then, my alt keys do not work. All other keys do, but neither ALT key does. I am more inclined to think that it is a software issue, since all other keys seem fine, and the one key between the two ALT keys (the spacebar) also works.

I can't live without ALT+TAB, CTRL+ALT+DEL, and what have you...

    Maybe it's a driver issue?

Help? I am thinking of upgrading to Win 10 just to see if it fixes the issue...

Update: so after plugging in an external keyboard, it is most definitely not software related. Seems like my ALT keys on the Yoga just do not work.

So - am I able to purchase a new keyboard off ebay and swap it? Do you think that would be the extent of the issue? CAN I BUY A US KEYBOARD WHEN THE ORIGINAL IS CANADIAN MULTILINGUAL??

And lastly -- the Yoga does not seem to go to sleep when shutting the lid. I have checked within Win 8.1 and Win 10 that the setting of "Sleep" is configured when the lid shuts...but nothing happens. Any idea what software/hardware issue could be causing this?

Ok, so I will get a replacement keyboard and let you know how that goes. Now for my last problem...the computer does not seem to recognize when the laptop lid is closed or opened beyond 180*. This means close to sleep does not work, and neither does open to disable keyboard. Is there any way to fix this? Barring that, is there any way to map disable/enable keyboard to a button? I would love to map it to the "disable auto-rotate" button. Thanks.
