I've used the Yoga 13 for 5 days pretty consistently but today it won't turn on. When I press the power button, the power light and the caps lock lights light up solid and the fans spin up to 100% for like 5 seconds and then the whole computer turns off. The screen stays black the entire time. I've tried re-seating all of the connections internally and using the "yoga" button to no effect.

Anyone have any ideas short of returning it and hoping for a replacement anytime soon?

This is what happens when the computer can't or won't post.

When you hit the power button the computer does a bunch of checks for the CPU, RAM, SSD, etc.

When all the checks are passed, the fans fall to idle speed and the boot sequence starts.

Basically, from what you're saying it's likely that you've got faulty or poorly connected RAM, CPU, or SSD.

There are more complex reasons that could be causing this as well, but none you can do anything about.

    I would do this:
    1) Pull the ram out, clean the contacts with rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip, then put it back in. If you happen to have different RAM that will work in this machine, install that instead.
    2) Unplug the battery and let it sit for a minute.
    3) Plug the battery back in, throw everything back together, and try to start it.

    If no result, return it.

You could try removing and re-installing the CPU and SSD, but that will likely void your warranty.
