I recently bought a Yoga 13 and have been somewhat disappointed by it, specifically the weak wifi, mushy keyboard, and no trackpoint. With black friday around the corner, the x230t is at a pretty good price.. in fact a little cheaper if I upgrade the ssd and ram myself.

Any thoughts/comparisons between the two would be really helpful. Specifically about:
    - battery life
    - weight / size.
    - screen quality
    - trackpad

I dont foresee using either one in "tablet" mode for long, but having a touch screen for browsing even in laptop mode is quite nice.

X230t can be optioned with slice battery to give around 14 hours of battery time, with slice battery the ThinkPad X230t weighs about 2.9 kg (slice battery weighs about 1 kg). Screen quality and Trackpad is definitely better on the Yoga. Touchscreen experinece on the X230t with multitouch screen is not very good, it is more like after thought. But wacom + digitiser pen puts the X230t in another league for annotating notes, drawing, etc (although dedicated Wacom tablet is even better).

It's gotta be more than that? My X220t with 6 cell and SSD could hit 8-9 hours itself on 63 WHr, and the slice is another 60 WHr, and Ivy Bridge is more power efficient than Sandy Bridge so you should be getting 16+ hours..

That is the typical battery time i get when i use my ThinkPad X230t with the workload i put on it. you can get more battery out of it, if you turn the screen brightness down and just surfing the net, etc.

Thanks. Looks like there isn't a perfect touchscreen notebook (for me) yet. The X1 Carbon Touch seems like it'll end up being a good fit.
