This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    The Update Driver button in Device Manager and the Intel Software Update Utility both reported that the latest driver was already installed, v13.0.0.xxxx. I decided to see if I could find a newer "Intel(R) 8 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller" device driver elsewhere. Found v13.2.4.1000 intended for another manufacturer and installed it. Solved the issue.
