I'd like both but gf wouldn't be thrilled with me adding 2 more. As I'm looking, I see the Yoga 2 Pro offers everything the t440s does but with a higher resolution, less footprint, tablet modes, touchscreen etc, lighter? The only thing I think the t440s has is a tougher exterior design.

Am I missing something or does the yoga 2 seem like a better and cheaper option.

-The keyboard on the Yoga 2 Pro is very shallow. I would recommend going to a Best Buy and trying it out in person.
    -No touchpoint
-Although the Y2P screen is higher resolution, it may not be better. Firstly, there is an issue with accurate color reproduction that a lot of owners are complaining about. Second, the higher resolution may be more troublesome with scaling than it is just to run the T440s at native resolution.
-No hot-swappable battery. No ability to use an extended battery.
-To be fair, part of the reason that the Y2P has a smaller footprint is because it has a smaller screen.
-T440s has a better selection of ports: extra USB, Ethernet, Smart Card, VGA. Having owned a Macbook Air in the past, it was pretty annoying to have to carry around a USB hub and a bunch of adapters in my bag.

Yoga 2 Pro: bad color reproduction, really bad for yellow, unless you up the brightness, halving the time the battery lasts.

High resolution may be too high for certain apps; complaints mention Chrome browser, others.

Not sure, but I think the battery is not user replaceable. That'll be a problem two years out, when your battery no longer charges to 100%.
