Anyone else has the Yoga 910? Got it yesterday and it seems to be decent so far. Battery seems to be really good. After being on a Mac for years, I'm not used to Windows 10 but so far it seems to be fairly polished.

Question for you guys: How do I force the function keys to be the default behavior? I'm not seeing the Hotkey option under Configurations in BIOS, and I'm not seeing any options in Windows 10 that will let me toggle. This is to be my mostly work laptop and I need the F1-F12 keys to work correctly.

    Thanks!

Hi i am thinking in buying too, i would like to ask you a questions:

-How its the contrast, the blacks are very black or grey (could you post a photo with the screen full brightness all black)
    -the colors punch
-wich screen do you have fhd or 4k
-The fan, its noticiable, it quicks very often or only when its a heavy task duty.
-The aspect ratio its 16:9 like the 900 or more 3:2 like the surface, for use in Tablet mode

    Sorry for too many questions.

Do you think there is space between the screen and keyboard to put on a screen protector?

sorry it's been a crazy couple of days. the screen is extremely bright but i won't be able to take a pic until next week. I think you can put a screen protector there (but i have no plans to do so myself).

fan is not noticeable until you are really pushing the system. but there were a couple of times where the fan spun up for no apparent reason (but stopped a few seconds later)

Oh if possible to do a test for drive read/write speed.
Not sure what software they use to do this in the reviews.

I don't own one but have a few concerns anyway. I understand you want @mobilebuddha to answer this but this is my 5 cents:
    - webcam placed under the screen
    - Win Hello by fingerprint only for login (no face recognition by camera)
    - no dedicated Home/End and PgUp/PgDown keys (might be anoying)
? SSD speed? Can't find info about it, only that it's a PCIe

To turn off the multimedia keys and go back to function keys load the Lenovo Settings app. On the left side is a small vertical list of icons. Choose the keyboard icon. Its in there

    Perfect

The problem its that i want the 4k screen.
Brightness, contrast, color etc, will be diferent for sure.
Im between the spectre 360 and the yoga 910, aesthetically i like more the yoga, and the 4k display, i really prefer from a fhd.
I keep waiting for the review with 4k panel.

I have a review up of the 4k model in this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/lenovo-yoga-910-detailed-review-parts.797320/. Morale of the story. The 4k screen is good but it really isn't great. The Dell XPS 15 has a much better screen. See the photos of the Yoga 910 4k side by side with some Dell's here: https://goo.gl/photos/4wjSa8Lb3qkSF15u7

    uffff.

Bye bye 4k panel. The colors and contrast are really dull.
I dont know why lenovo always make the same mistake, its terrible.

Now i will see the hp spectre in person to decide, may i stick with my tab pro s, waiting for the asus transformer 3.

Thank you very much , this is just what i wanted to see

I really wanted to like the Lenovo 910 4K. Its definitely usable, but for the price (I paid $1,499) the screen is just not good enough. This machine should cost $1,299 is they are going to skimp on the screen.

Btw the screen is a little better than the HP Spectre x360 15 4K model. You can see the comparison here: https://goo.gl/photos/S5eN1NT8tusfj2WF6

Do you have a Surface pro 4 for make the same comparation?
The photos are both with the max brightness , and without the automatic bright control?
Could you put a solid black wallpaper max the bright an photo?

Certain its much better than the spectre x360 15, but i agree with you, in spain this will cost 1600€ sure, and this is not aceptable for this Price.

    Thanks in advance

Yes all photos are at max brightness with default color calibration. I'll try to put up a surface comparison

Which spectre? I have the 15 4k Skylake and the Yoga 910 is better than that imo on all dimensions.

The New spectre x360 13 the next week will be aviable Hére in Spain
The yoga 910 in FHD i found very little resolution for an 13,9 screen, my Best bet was the yoga that you have but now i think i must turn the head other place

Does anyone else who has this hear the fans reasonably loud at moments that you wouldn't expect. Right now the fans are going like crazy with 1 youtube video going and that is it

I ordered a Lenovo 910 directly from Lenovo in mid October, and it arrived on the 25th. I loved almost everything about it.

Great display (at times), snappy response, etc. I copied 10GB of Photoshop files from an external portable SSD and observed very fast transfer rates of over 300 MB/sec.

After a couple of days I noticed severe backlight bleeding at the bottom edge of the display. I was so severe that I'm surprised that I didn't notice it initially - but it seemed to change - looking fine at times, and horrible at other times. I showed up on the Lenovo boot screen, so it wasn't related to windows. I will post photos, if I can figure that out.

Also, as others have noted, the fan noise is noticeable. It seems to be there all the time, instead of just when running a CPU intensive application.

The placement of the "up arrow" key just to the left of a very small right side "shift" key was also a problem for me, in that I kept inadvertently hitting the up arrow.

I returned the laptop to Lenovo due to the display issues, but decided not to get a replacement because of the shift key issue and the fan noise.

Nope it's the 910. The numbers confuse me though since people here have showed it's fast.

    Article says:
When we duplicated 4.97GB of mixed media files, the Yoga 910's SSD posted a transfer speed of 195.7 MBps. Although that's fast enough to top the 171.1-MBps average for ultraportables, other premium 2-in-1s, such as the HP Spectre x360 and the Microsoft Surface Book, which both posted even faster speeds of 318 MBps.

Do not get the Yoga 910. I'm typing this on my 2nd model. Both had the awful loud fan noise when doing anything remotely intensive on the CPU
