    Hi all,

I've got a bunch of shiny Yoga Pro 2's that I need to image. I usually boot to a USB drive with WinPE on it, and then run some commands from there to deploy my image. The problem I'm facing with the YP2 is that it boots so fast you aren't given the option to hit Enter for the boot manager. With the X1 Carbon you have time to do this when the Lenovo splash screen is displayed, but not with these.

Now I know you can boot from an alternate device with Windows 8 by first logging into Windows and then restarting to the Advanced Startup. However, that means I need to go through the included Windows install first. That's not good because it wastes my precious time. Is there anyway I can boot from a USB without first installing Windows? Any input is appreciated.

    Thanks

Power OFF the Yoga 2 Pro.
Press the small Novo button next to the power button on the right side of the laptop.
A small menu will pop up with the options, Normal Startup, BIOS Setup, Boot Menu, and OneKey Recovery.
    Select Boot Menu.
Select the drive you wish to boot from.

I did that on my Y2P, but nothing happens when I press the NOVO button. What to I do now? Is it a defect?

How do I get to the Advanced Startup in Windows 8.1?
