Yes, I dread the day my R60 is no longer useful.

How edpensive is such a screen for an X200 and is it easy to install for a newbie ...?

To be honest, I think that the LED screens on the new 410/510 models are pretty good.

I have a W510 on order...and have been waiting...and waiting....and waiting...like everyone else. I got tempted to the other side and ordered an HP only because it had a trackpoint and looked like it might ship soon, but it's been delayed 3 weeks as well so I ended up cancelling that order on Friday. I just sold a 17" MBP that I experimented with for a few months, what a beautiful machine. Had Windows 7 on it and that screen was just amazing. Anyway, just couldn't adapt to the keyboard (some windows keys are just not there and require workarounds) and the lack of a trackpoint...but I miss that screen a great deal. I don't need a ton of speed and I use SSD drives which gives me the best speed boost versus cpu clock speed or graphics speed which I don't think will impact me much, so we'll see how it goes. It was only $500 so it'll give me something to do until the W510 finally ships
You know you're desperate when...
