My T400 "Elite" got shipped today. It took me a couple of orders to get it right. I ordered the T61 at first and then couldn't sleep thinking about carrying a 15 inch screen around. So, I canceled the order and got the T400. I got the usual discount, and a 10% off thing that I found somewhere on the web. After a few days I was trolling the web and found visaperks.ca could do the same deal for an additional 5% less. I was so tempted to cancel the order and redo it, but it had already been a week and I was getting anxious to get the **** machine. Today I was on Engadget and looking up what they had to say about Lenovo and an ad popped up at the top of the screen with a two day discount of 20% off the machine I ordered (it's a Canadian discount). That's a difference of something like $150! Anyhow, this drives me crazy. Has anyone succeeded in getting Lenovo to honour discounts after they've purchased their machine? Does this drive you crazy too?

Build the machine on the site (EXACTLY the same)...apply the coupon. Create a quote. Call the customer service. Use quote you obtained to get price adjustment on your machine (you have 21day from when you receive it).

It is funny how as soon as Lenovo Canada advertises a 20% off sale that the LED upgrade skyrockets from $80 to $360.

I think they are doing this deliberately. The last time there was an employee pricing sale the LED price went up the same amount.

Does anybody have a link to the 21-day price match policy?

FWIW, other threads here indicate it is 21 days from the date Lenovo shipped your computer, not 21 days from receipt. Bottom line don't wait for the last minute.

Sorry I mixed up shipped and receipt (it only usually takes 2-3days to receive in the US though).

I've never seen it in writing, and it's not in any of the shopping FAQs on their site. I think it's just something the sales agents are able to do to preserve a sale.

FWIW, just follow the instructions someone else here gave you, and don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
