Hello everyone. New at these boards, and I was hoping for a bit of help to clarify an ongoing (2 days) debate I'm having with a friend. I have a few Lenovo notebooks, my latest is a Z61m, with a basic Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 card, and I want to upgrade it.

    Which is a logical choice?

    ATI X1300
    ATI V5200

Neither, or something altogether different. The debate I'm having is that one of my buddies says it is not upgradable. Could this be true?

Any advise and/or support would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure that if you start out with integrated graphics, upgrading is not possible.

You cannot change, swap or upgrade your graphics card. It is built in into your systemboard.

You cannot upgrade your video card. It's not possible. Period.
