The Z series seem to be on a similar sale as the T series were on recently.

The sale covers a free upgrade from 60gb to 100gb hard drive
A free 512mb of memory (i assume this means you get 1GB standard)
    and a free DVD Burner.

Just thought you guys might want to know.
I was thinking of getting a Z61t, and am tempted to jump on this sale, but I also want to hold out and see what the future holds for the T series

The promotion on Z is supposed to be end after this week, the better deals should come around Thanksgiving, which is really close. So hopefully there will be some amazing discount on the T series.

What does a typical Thanksgiving deal look like?

Will EPP offer better pricing during holiday seasons? or they are pretty much flat?

It is a very sweet deal but I wonder whether there is bigger thing coming for the Thanksgiving or Christmas. Should I hold out or go ahead to buy it?

Wow, that 7% cashback looks too good to be true, is that site legit?

AFAIK the site's legit. I think ebates is a similar thing. I haven't tried to retreive my cash back yet, I haven't accumulated much yet, usually I buy through the american airlines site to get air miles, and you can't do both fatwallet and AA. Haven't bought a notebook by clicking through FW, but I wouldn't have a problem with it. If people don't receive their cash back I'm sure they would be very vocal about it. Someone may have posted about lenovo 7% CB in the forums.

BTW I don't see anything for lenovo/ibm via american airline retail partners, but they do have mileage offers for Alienware, Apple Store, CompUSA, Dell Home, Gateway, and Toshiba, if you were considering any of them as an alternative.

It amazes me whenever i meet people on a forum that have never heard of Fatwallet before. Fatwallet is one the most trafficted forums online. FatWallet and Slickdeals are where everyone goes to post and discuss hot deals on items for purchase. FatWallet FatCash is most definitely legit and you will get the cashback within a few months of the purchase. It's sort of like going through a rebate process. I use FatWallet for a clickthrough on about half the online sites I shop at for FatCash on a regular basis and so far I've cashed out around $600.
