The new Lenovo 3000 N Series has 4 USB,webcam ,built in mic etc which the Z60 seres does not offer in all (Lenovo 3000 N Series) is giving me all that i want , but i am not sure about the quality does it match up to Thinkpad series , also the keyboard is it (spill proof)

P.S does anybody owns Lenovo 3000 N Series and has been using it.

    Help me with your input?

    Thanks in Advance

They are not as durable as ThinkPads, but still good notebook and you'll pay less. It is a trade off. The new Core Duo Z series should be announced soon. Supply will probably be limited in the beginning.

The usual tradeoff: robustness vs. performance. I would, if you need laptop mainly as your desktop replacement - go for N100. It will spend most of its time at home on your desk - in controlled environment and will provide you with Dual Core horse power (although you probably will need it in very specifi situations).
Otherwise, if you plan to lug it around with you, exposing frequency to a less then perfect environmental variables, a robust construction would play more significat role to me, so I would go with Z series.

The n100 is also glossy while the Z series is matte.
