I found the 2529EAU on the Lenova site today, showing 2-4 weeks delivery.

I ordered one, and when I checked out, the status shows in-stock. Time will tell whether that's really true.

It doesn't show a ship date on the web, it says I must call. I'm going to wait a day before asking them.

Mine's updated now, it says backordered, 12/26 estimated ship date. It showed in-stock when I checked out, and the confirmation e-mail said in stock, but I have to admit I was pretty skeptical. The product page still says 2-4 weeks (although 12/26 is longer than that). Like others, I find the original estimate ship date (when it was IBM, anyway) tends to move.

I'll bet that you will have it long before that. My order was Nov. 10 with Jan. 5 ship date, and it came today.

Gridbias, was this with the z60 series? I think on other series they are shipping much faster. The z60m at least has only been in production about a month, and I think the est. ship dates on these are fairly accurate. This is what my order status has posted...

Quantity Part No. Description Est. Ship Date Item Price Line Total
    1 SYS.252902 CONFIGURED SYSTEM 12/09/05 $1,244.20
    1 252902U EXP Z60M TITANIUM MAXBRIGHT
    1 73P3853 512MB PC2-4200 533MHZ CL4
Status: Within 2 weeks More info

And that has been the same since I ordered it on
    Order date: 10/30/05

Now I hope I am wrong, but I think we are just going to have to be patient on these....

Probably Gridibas is talking abt his new T43 system. I am sure that it's not Z60m.

In every thread (practically) I've read on this site, the ship dates indicated in order confirmations and on the Lenovo website are gross under(over?) estimated. They seem to always arrive sooner than promised.

They give you the worst case senario then when it shows up early you're happy.

Just for fun I called Lenovo today for the order status (Z60M 2529EAU), and they said 6 weeks, thanks for your patience.

    So the status is:

    Web site shows 2-4 weeks
    Order confirmation shows in-stock
On-line order status says dec 26
    Cust support says 6 weeks

Yeah, I know, I've ordered thinkpads before, I know it'll show up some random earlier day. I do think they ought to try to tighten up their predictions a bit, though. The delta between in-stock and 6 weeks is too big, even for an estimate.
