I've seen several reviews which say the Z60T only has a single layer drive, whereas I saw two Ebay auctions of this machine and their specifications said they had dual layer drives. Which one is it? Or do the newer ones have dual layer burners now?

Levono doesn't sell any DL drives. They may have upgraded it since it uses a standard 12.7mm drive. Or maybe they don't know what they are talking about.

It's the 9.5mm drive on the Z60t. Just like on the T-series. They could have bought a DL-capable drive directly from Panasonic/Matsushita, but there's a bigger chance that they have no idea what they're talking about.

There is one Panasonic DL drive, the UJ-832S which will fit the the bay. It could mean it only reads dvds and not burn them.

z60t's dvdrw can't even write up to 8x, i don't see why it should able to support DL. if the dvdrw can write up to 8x, it will be convenient and saves a lot of time.
