    Hello:

My first post after lurking for awhile. I had to rebuild the software & drivers on the family Lenovo after one of my kids kacked Windows with malware. (My own fault as I'd let our virus protection lapse.) I found enough help via searching here to get us back online, get audio going again, and so on by reinstalling the drivers found here -

    Lenovo Z60m Drivers

However, I am not sure which video hardware I have. As there are (2) sets of drivers offered for -

ATI RADEON XPRESS / MOBILITY RADEON, Intel 910GML/915GM

    or this

    ATI RADEON / FireGL

How can I determine which one is correct to install?

It's a IBM Lenovo Z60m (Type 2529) or should I look for something else?

Usually the machine type is seven characters. My machine type is 9456-55U. My guess would be it has have the X600, but if you google the machine type it should give you the specs. If you saved a copy of the IBMTools folder, it will have a copy of the driver installed on the machine or you can try Windows Update as well. Do you have or make the recovery discs?

    Ah (forehead slap), 2529-E3U!

Your tip on IBMTools was spot on. When I rebuilt the drive I only blew out the corrupted copy of XP and left all the original folders intact. I now have nice sharp text to read.

    :)

    Thank You!
