    Hello All,

I just bought a Z60m and there is a noticeable buzzing noise
when it is off and plugged in. Stops when unplugged.
I'm guessing the battery charging components (caps, voltage regulator)
    something is causing this.
It's louder then I would expect, considering the 2 other Thinkpad
that I have around doesn't make peep plugged in.
    They are different older models.

Does anyone else have the same problem?
    Should I return it?

    Cheers,
    DK

The T60 i bought had a buzzing sound when only running on battery and gets really annoying. It seems like the opposite of what u are experencing. I called tech support and told them to send me a replacement, all went through without any problem, then 3 days later I decided to cancel the replacement and told them I am just going to return the defected unit. (because I decided if i were to have to wait for a replacement I might as well buy another model, since I was thinking that the T is really just a bit too big for my everyday use.) I decided to return and buy an X60 instead.

The replacement was suppose to take only 10 business days or less to be delevered, but then the X I bought got a big break, it was shipped in less than a week.

so If u like that model, just called them and tell them to send u a replacement unit, since it's defected. Dont tell them to try to solve your problem if you just bought it, they will circle around and tell you to wait while they research it and then they will tell you to bring it to a service center. just tell them straight up to send you a replacement if it was new, unless you want them to fix your defected new machine.
