    Hello all-

I'm a motion graphics designer and I'm looking for a new laptop. People have been recommending the Macbook Pro, and I love Macs, but my company is all PC (3ds Max workstations, Avids, After Effects, etc).

It's between the HP nw9440, Lenovo z61, and Macbook Pro. I've already ruled out the Macbook Pro based on Boot Camp performance (and having to track down pesky windows drivers.) I need to know which Z61 is the best for my needs. I have heard that the Z61P is the high end model, but I keep on trying to configure one online, and it defaults to the Z61e (which doesn't even exist on the website.) Needless to say, I'm REALLY confused. Can someone help?

    Henry

The P isn't even configurable on the website any more, but the website is always a little funky. I know it sounds unhelpful, but honestly I recommend calling 1-866-96-THINK and telling them you want the highest end thing with whatever specs it is you want. The sales people for Thinkpads actually know their stuff for the most part, unlike the salespeople for other computer companies.
