Z61m hangs at "Starting PC DOS". I have used CD-ROM to repair windows. Any suggestions please. It's driving me mad. I have another HDD that boots the machine perfectly OK. Thanks

Download PC-Doctor and run the hard drive diagnostic.

OK. Done that. It tests fine. Have booted from working HDD in ultrabay and run PartitionManager and Drive Copy No obvious errors

It just seems to execute PC Dos from somewhere (unknown) and then hangs. How can I find where the PC Dos comand line is coming from?

When you say that you "used CD-ROM to repair Windows," can you be more specific? Are you saying that you ran a Windows Setup from a CD? Or did you use some sort of 3rd party software to do a repair?

What was wrong with Windows in the first place that you were trying to fix?
