I cant decide, this has been on my mind for the past few weeks. I am a college student attending business school next year. I dont play games that often, just surfing the internet and office apps. I like the screen to be nice. The z61 is claimed to weigh 6.47lbs with titanium and the T60 is 6.3, so they weight should be about equal, but people keep saying the z60/1m is a tank and that the T is so portable. I plan on getting accident protection, has anyone had experiance with these.

I think the screen is a little small. I would get the T60 15 ips if I got that. Also the z61t has no graphics card and I am afraid it will not run vista very well.

I just finished up the review for the Z61m hopefully to be posted soon. Couple thoughts, the Z is heavier than the T series. I'd say about a half pound, nothing huge. It is thicker than the T. I guess it will depend on how much mobility you need. The Z is also much stiffer. It is a lot stiffer than my T which surprised me some. You could seriously use the thing as a weapon. The IPS screen on the T is better. Don't get me wrong, the Z screens is good to but does not have as good of viewing angles. Image quality is a bit better on the T. You get a few more things on the Z like card reader, firewire, webcam. They share a lot of things too like excellent build quality, great keyboard, support, etc. I don't think either is a bad choice.

    Zaz,

Looking forward to the review. How is the heat on the z61m? Is it as cool running as the T60?

I'd say it got warm, but it was never uncomfortable to use.

So the T60 runs cooler than the z61m
