I'm looking to selling my Z61m as I have my eyes on W700. My Z61m was shipped with Vista Business but I downgraded to XP. I didn't backup the HDD before I clean installed XP. AFAIK, the Vista DVD that came with the laptop is only good for recovery and not for clean install. How can I reinstall Vista before selling? Thanks!

If you're selling it, why do you care if it's a clean install or a recovery?

I have no idea how the Vista recovery DVD works. Does it wipe the HDD and reverts it back to the "factory default" state just like when I turned on my laptop for the first time?
