My Z61t which is less than a year old was sent to Lenovo for repair. My cursor was going crazy for no reason ( clicking on it's own !!!). They sent it back through DHL after replacing the system board. Never arrived. The next-day DHL status says 'In transit' for the past 4 days.

I called DHL and they did a 'dock search' and are telling me that they Lost it !!.
I called lenovo but the division which deals with this is closed for the weekend.

So what are my options here ??. Will Lenovo send me a refurbished/new laptop ??? or will they reimburse ??. Anyone had similar experience ??

If Lenovo sent it to you by DHL, I'm sure it was insured, meaning they will replace it and DHL will pay them for cost of replacement.

This should be insured and DHL wouldn't want to lose a customer like Lenovo. One way or the other, you will get reimbursed.

What I wanted to know was, Will they send me a refurbished one or send me a check which would be nice !!!!.
I'm happy with my z61t and no need for a Vista laptop anyway.

It's quite possible you might get a brand spanking new lappy since it was insured by Lenovo. :D

You should be able to get a replaced laptop from Lenovo. If they don't comply, complain with DHL. If that doesn't work, call the executive number if you can manage to get one, and discuss/negotiate with their executive manager if you can.

I won't take a refurb. In fact, I replaced the z61t KB with the one that came with T60( My work laptop). I don't like the z61t default KB compared to T60.

DHL has been loosing Dell laptops all over the place! I think i am number 5 within a week. They did a dock search for mine after it had been in transit for 3 days as well, and eventually when i told them that someone had just stolen it off the dock they agreed it has been happening "a lot this month". Do the boxes for the Lenovos have IBM or Lenovo on the side. I am trying to figure out where all of them are getting lost (mine was in the ATL hub) and if there is a pattern like GIANT logos that yell "Take ME!" lol

Over the past couple years since DHL has gotten popular (on the east coast anyways), I have heard nothing but horror stories. I try and stay far, far away from DHL. I'm sure you didn't have a choice though. What ended up happening?

Must be a happy ending, otherwise the OP would have come back here with more complaints ;)
