I ordered mine 11/11, had an estimated ship date of 11/30 and UPS tried to deliver mine on Friday (11/24), but I wasn't home (it was shipped from Hong Kong on 11/21 and got here 11/24--pretty good, if you ask me, and I didn't even pay for expedited shipping). I went and picked it up this morning. As of yet I've not had time to really take a good look at it (had to go to work), but I'll post more when I'm out of work tonight. :)

Ordered 11/24 and est ship of 12/27, however he was saying their almost resolved the memory issue they were having. So maybe I'll receive it 1-2 weeks earlier.

Ordered mine on 11/08. The estimated ship date online has been 12/04 since then. Just called (again) and they're still sticking to that date although I "should give it a day or two in either direction". I was told the memory and the shell were holding up build times. Last week they told me they might get it out to me by the end of November, but I'm not holding my breath.

Ordered 9440D9U with 1.5MB RAM on 11/10 and my est. ship date is and always has been 12/6. Notebook must not be delayed. Notebook must ship on time. Old Sharp MM-10 is on the fritz.

It's everything I hoped for and more. Extremely solid, especially with the titanium cover. Installing my own RAM wasn't very difficult and now that it has 2GB, it's performing very well. I haven't had a chance to test everything out, but so far I am very impressed. I never booted Windows, just wiped the hard drive and installed the latest Ubuntu (Edgy Eft) and suspend works out-of-the-box--a real treat. If anyone has any specific questions about the machine, feel free to ask.

I was reading about the Lenovo sale on Fatwallet. Looks like a lot of people are getting their laptops well before the promised delivery date.

Argh. Seems I spoke too soon about the glory of my z61t--I seem to have gotten a faulty battery--it won't charge at all. Yellow battery light just blinks and blinks. Boots fine on AC, but won't do a thing with just the battery in it.
I talked to IBM, they're sending a new battery, no questions asked.
I'm hoping it's just the battery so I don't have to send my brand new computer back in for repairs. Sigh. At least the warranty/repair service is good.

Just as an update...Lenovo had the replacement battery out to me within one business day and the new one works fine. Phew, sigh of relief.

    Bully,

Could you please post some glamour shots of your new baby? It gives those of us waiting something to look forward to! I'm tired of looking at the same old pics on the net...need some fresh ones!
