I am almost ready to pull the trigger on a z60t but two things worry me a bit. One one the configurattion page there is no option to upgrade the battery or buy a spare for that matter. It comes with a 4 cell standard which is pretty small I am guessing and so I wonder about battery life. Most times I might only need a couple of hours a day but it seems funny that other options aren't offered. Also the 950 graphics acceloerator. Is it suitable for light autocad and maybe a game or two? I know it is low on performance but could I play something even on a stuttery level ,lol? other wise this machine is pretty much what i am looking for.

Your are right My bad it is a Z60t. What is the difference of the 61 going to be? I am comparing this to the dell d620 which is a bit less and can be had with better graphics but I am kinda interested in trying out a thinkpad . Only had Dells so far.

The new one will have a core duo processor and an integrated camera. They are supposed to be available in the beginning of june i believe.

the one I am interested in has the core duo but no camera. I dont need the camera as I am camera shy anyway. What do you guys think the batt life wil be like with the 4 cell. I really only need a couple of hours max most days and can pull out the brick if needed. By the way , what is the IBM power supply like as far as size and weight?

I thought the new 14" z61t was going to get dedicated graphics? This is a deal breaker. Now I must decide between gpu and screen, or size and battery life...T60 or X60....

The x60 doesn't have dedicated card either.

By the way, the one that's listed on the Lenovo Website z61t 9440-2CU has the camera in-built.
