Certain three key combinations trigger the system beep on my Z61t (U+E+N, U+N+Space, D+E+A). I'm pretty sure other key combinations do this as well. Does anyone know what's going on? It's really strange to get seemingly random system beeps while typing.

Looks like it's been blogged about here. Stills seem like a really weird "feature" though, can this issue be addressed without completely disabling the system beep?

Have you tried a BIOS update (if available). Fortunately, I don't have the issue on my Z61M.

i tried doing that problem... i guess the system beeps this 'bleep' sound in these instances:

    1. when you type two or more letters at the same time.
    2. you are typing and your cursor is not in the right place (typing here in the quick reply box whereas i accidentaly brushed the touchpad and have the desktop clicked, making the browser inactive window)

the 'bleep' alerts you that you are not doing something right :) just my observation.

this has been posted many times.

go to the device manager (one way is right click my computer --> properties --> hardware --> device manager)
--> view --> show hidden devices --> go down to 'non plug and play drivers' --> right click 'beep' and disable it.

this should be made a sticky somehow...
