    Not sure what happened or why but when I ordered one week ago yesterday...my ship date reported 11-03 estimate.

    Yesterday the status changed to 11-11

    ordered Oct 19th
    -ship date reported as 11-03
    -ship date changed to 11-11

    I ordered last week as well (from the Canadian site) and the estimate is at least 4 weeks. Apparently there is a shortage of the Intel 5100 and 5300 wireless cards.
    Did you configure your order with one of those cards?

    :( I ordered mine on 10/20 and got an estimated ship date of 11/5. On 10/25 I got an email from my rep saying that the 160gb 7200 was out of stock, so she bumped me up to the 250gb 7200rpm. The WSXGA+ screen was also backordered, but she was able to change the part number and keep the same screen.

    She didnt mention anything about the wireless card, but my ship date is now 11/11.

    I ordered a Y550 on 9/22 - the ship date was originally 10/13 but it's been changed 3 times (10/16, 10/27, 11/2). I'm not holding my breath (although, if it does get changed yet again I'll just cancel the order and buy from somewhere else).

    I ordered my T500 on 10/22 and was surprised to receive notice on 10/26 that it had shipped. While I have the 5300 wireless card, I have the WXGA LED screen. I have no idea what the holdup is for you guys, whether it's the WSXGA+ screen or what. Hope you get more positive news soon.

    now i'm curious...I will have to call see if there is a reason behind my extended wait!

    Edit...I just called:
    No explanation for the change of date. He did confirm my configuration for my T500 and said he was sending my order to the supply team for it to be que'd for build.
    I'll check back in couple days to see if the "est ship date" changes!
