This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     admin password forgotten with fingerprint

    hi all,
    wondering if anybody can help

    just got my first pc laptop, and its a ibm thinkpad t61...and very nice it is too :)

    problem...with my excitment on recieving the t61, i opened box / powered up / turned on / went and got all updates / after many restarts through updating i realized that with my excitment with logging on with the fingerprint, i have forgotten my password.

    i am running xp pro

    so i can log on with fingerprint - once logged on, can i somhow change the password...or figure out what it is.?
