My battery has gone to crap - from 5 hour, 40 minutes, to like 3 hours.

Anyone have any experience with after market batteries that are cheaper? A new one from Lenovo is like 154$ :S

I bought an aftermarket battery for about $75 from spare parts warehouse. It appears to work well, but my T61p does not really like it. Whenever you turn it on or bring back from sleeping, you get a message about not having a genuine Lenovo battery and the power manager gauge does not work with it either. So my kids are always surprised when the computer turns off on the middle of whatever they are doing. Surprise!

    My two cents.
