    i have a t61 (vista).

all fn combinations (fn+pgup, fn+home, fn+f5, etc.) have stopped working for me.

i tried downloading the most updated drivers for the hotkeys, access connections and power management, but it didn't help.

i don't know if this is what made them stop working in the first place but i recently opened up my laptop for the first time to vacuum the fan. as far as i know i reconnected everything that needed to be reconnected; the only things removed were the palm rest, keyboard, and keyboard bezel.

what's wrong and is there anything else i could try?

Have you tried reseating the keyboard, and re-plugging in the fragile keyboard connector?

if by reseating you mean taking out the keyboard and reconnecting it again, i did try that. i pressed on the connector firmly to make sure it was connected properly.

the rest of keys appear to be functioning, it's just the fn button that doesn't work.
