Today i just about had a fit.

Im in the process of figuring out whether to buy a thinkpad, here in Canada, the thing that really pissed me off on lenovo canada was that lets say instead of upgrading the 6 cell to an 9 cell u pay the difference, you have to buy a new 9 cell in addition to the 6 cell already in ur system.

i happened to come across the US website, honestly you guys have it made, you can upgrade almost every aspect of the system.

Any thinkpad owners in canada know how to get lenovo to customize your system like they can in the US?

No... but if you buy an X series, they can be had cheaper right now in Canada (on visaperks) than in the US.
    Which is a rarity.
Use the savings to buy a 2nd battery.

Call lenovo canada... prices are negotiable... ask for a bundle to buy an extra battery and second adapter... these can be had for $100 extra at time of purchase. You will love having the 2nd adapter for a laptop, i think.

actually, thinkpad offerings sold in the US falls significantly short of the choice offered in Asia. For example, speaking of the X60, they have superior screens in asia on many models, available on only one model here.
