    The one the OP posted has a T9600 processor and ATI 3470 graphics. Those two cheaper ebay links are not nearly as well-configured.

    Then the T400 probably isn't the best option, as it does not have digital video out. You could look at the T500 instead (DisplayPort out, which can be converted to either HDMI or DVI with a <$8 adapter), or consider an X200 with an UltraBase. Also, the integrated graphics models (GMA 4500MHD) will handle 1080p content with ease, so you do not necessarily need a discrete graphics model.

    get a R400 from the US outlet.lenovo.com (if you are in the US) and it is pretty much a T400 that is slightly thicker for around 400 to 500 dollars, a real bargain.

    The T9600 Processor and 3470 GPU is not that special. Just get a P8400 CPU and the integrated Intel 4500 MHD, they can handle FHD movies just fine.

    or as midnightsun said a T500, i use my T500 as the portable R500 for connecting to two external LCD.
