just wanted to see if this ram works well with lenovo and how it performs
-
Memory brand doesn't matter. As long as it's PC2 DDR667 then it should work.
-
Agreed. Just buy whatever's cheapest and go with it.
Although I am using A-Data RAM in my R61 right now without a hitch. -
Funny you should ask, I just put a 2gig stick in my T61p this week and all is well.

I am about to put in a 2GB A-Data stick this weekend. It better work!
-
let me know how it goes

I am going to waiting a week or so before I put up my review of the 61p so my emotions can be unbiased... however let me tell you that my computer screams! I do not know the effects of the 3gb of ram, 7200rpm HD or the 1gb of turbo memory.... but I do know that vista is not as bad as all the stories i heard about. Remember to run memtest!
-
how do u run a memtest?
-
i've use it, before replaceing it with value select corsair...
the adata had little better score in PCMARK memory bench...
tx -
about memtest,
why dont u try using an ubuntu installation disk.... -
Sorry I cant provide the exact thread that gave me this info but here ya go:
http://www.memtest.org/
1) download this program @ http://www.memtest.org/#downiso
2) Burn the iso to cd. This will be a bootable cd.
3) Test only the new stick, so remove all memory and insert the new stick.
4) Boot up the computer, it should go right to the program. Let it do at least 1 pass.
If it passes you are good, if you have any failures send the memory back.
Hope this helps...
