Memory brand doesn't matter. As long as it's PC2 DDR667 then it should work.

Agreed. Just buy whatever's cheapest and go with it.

Although I am using A-Data RAM in my R61 right now without a hitch.

I am going to waiting a week or so before I put up my review of the 61p so my emotions can be unbiased... however let me tell you that my computer screams! I do not know the effects of the 3gb of ram, 7200rpm HD or the 1gb of turbo memory.... but I do know that vista is not as bad as all the stories i heard about. Remember to run memtest!

Sorry I cant provide the exact thread that gave me this info but here ya go:

    http://www.memtest.org/

    1) download this program @ http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

    2) Burn the iso to cd. This will be a bootable cd.

    3) Test only the new stick, so remove all memory and insert the new stick.

    4) Boot up the computer, it should go right to the program. Let it do at least 1 pass.

If it passes you are good, if you have any failures send the memory back.

    Hope this helps...
