I have to often tap on the touchpad more than once to click on a link/button. I tried different settings under Control panel - mouse but didn't seem to help. I set touch sensitivity to highest too. Where do I adjust so I can just tap it lightly to work? i have a r61, winxp sp3

ackk sometimes when i'm just moving the cursor around, it's acting like i'm holding the button and would drag the window scroller up and down

Are you tweaking the UltraNav settings under Mouse in Control Panel?

this doesn't answer your question, but have you fooled around with the trackpoint?

It scrolls the page because you're dragging up and down along the right side. It's a specific feature on some touchpads.

why would it be dragging if i'm just moving my finger around on the pad? i'm not double tapping or resting the cursor on the scollers

edit: n/m i see what you meant now
