This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I have an R400 running Vista SP2 and when I restart my computer after installing a new application or updating an existing one for example, half of the time the computer will not restart but will emit 7 or 8 beeps and the screen will remain blank.

    Any suggestions?

    Try re-seating the memory and hard drive, maybe the WiFi card too.
