    anyone experiencing recent shippnig delay on T400?

    I placed my order on Feb-10-2009.

    T400
    INTEL T9600 2.8GHZ
    3GB RAM
    WXGA+ LED BACKLIT W/ CAMERA
    64GB SSD
    6CELL BATTERY
    WINDOWS VISTA BUSINESS
    WIFI LINK 5300
    BLUETOOH

    After I ordered, the estimated shipping date was Feb-20-2009.

    But no shipping notice until Feb-21-09 and finally the ESD was changed to

    MAR-24-09!!! NOT Feb-24-09 WOW

    anyone has the same issue???

    That sounds ridiculous, but unfortunately, lenovo always do that.
    I ordered a T400 on Feb 15, and the scheduled shipping date is Feb 26, nothing happend till now.

    Rumor is that there is a shortage of WXGA+ LED screens. Lenovo's EST is notoriously off though - according to their original EST for my laptop, it should've shipped next week. But, I've had my laptop for nearly 2 weeks ;)

    I placed an order on a T400-2764-CTO on 2/11 with an ESD of 2/20. On 2/20 checked order status to find revised ESD of 3/24. No courtesy email to explain the delay from Lenovo. I just ran the same config into the order cart and find a 4-week delay notice on the WXGA+BLLEDCAM. Of course, this notice was not there when I placed the order.

    I placed a order of t400 with led screen on Feb 2. thought canada epp site. got the ESD feb. 12. but it was not shipped.
    i called the rep a few days ago, they told me it might be shipped on feb 26, and i can expect to get in the first week of march.
    they can guarantee if there will be another delay.
    the LED screen might be the reason for delaying, since it now shows the led screen may dealy your order for more than 4 weeks on their site.

    A month and a half isn't that bad. People used to wait six months or longer for certain configurations. Have a little perspective.

    I called lenovo and was told that my order was gonna shipped by the 27th Friday but any changes was not made in my order status.

    So I called again and a representative said that another delay was happened because of the shortage of LED display. And the new ESD is 3/9 based on their latest information..

    Now I realized that I cant trust what the representatives tell me about
    shipping!!

    order date: 2/10
    original ESD: 2/20-------> 2/27-------> 3/9-------> ???

    what a wonderful experience with LENOVO~

    Their WEB site states that orders with LED displays will result in slow shipment dates.

    dang, that suck, hope that doesn't happen to me, though I didn't get the LED display since it said it would take 4+ weeks until it would be shipped

    Next time, if you want to get your lenovo laptop early than the EST day.
    you must buy it without huge discount , then pricematch later

    when the promotion showed on lenovo webstie, they won't know how many order they will receive, so the EST DAY was still the one had no discount

    The customer service representitve I spoke to keep saying that the delay

    has been caused due to the shortage of LED display, and put my item on

    their critical priority list.

    BUT NO SHPPING NOTICE TILL NOW. :eek:

    When will I receive my T400? :mad:

    How could one of the largest computer manufacturers manages its part inventory like this??

    I dont want any compensations for the delay. Just want LENOVO to ship my

    order SOON.

    PLEASE NO MORE DELAYS!!!

    I'm skeptical about the existence of any such list. Hope they weren't just trying to get you off the phone in the absence of any useful status information for you.

    Just called Lenovo, and I was told that the LED shortage problem was solved :) The rep said my T400 will be shipped soon.

    My order date : 2/10

    I know that some people who placed their orders arould Feb 10 have the
    long delay on T400 just like me.

    Guys, let's wait up a little bit more.

    I love the expedited list...haha. When the x200 and tseries were new...it seemed canceling your order would magically make it ship while you were trying to cancel ;). Don't do this though!
