Hi everyone! I was supposed to get my W700 shipped yesterday but Lenovo pushed back their shipping date 3weeks!!! Anyways, it seems that the W700 started getting to their owners almost a month ago, yet I haven't seen a single serious review for this laptop or comments from owners! The one from this site is the most accurate so far but not too deep... need more benchmarks, tests with the wacom and side to side comparison with the Dell M6400 and the HP 8730w (CPU power, screens, noise levels...)

I'll use this machine for serious 3D stuff... Maya, ZBrush, Painter, Photoshop, After Effects... and some gaming.

If anyone out there already got his/her W700, please let us know how's your experience so far! The good and the bad. Thanks a lot!!

I just got a demo w700 to put through the paces.... I can't get the tablet to work with Zbrush... the screen paints black. Nothing in the Pixologic boards.

Did you get your unit yet?

Hey chasmonkey! I haven't try Zbrush yet. I've been busy at work. I tried AE and Maya and there's a lag while moving things around the viewport. Someone reported the same problem while using XSI. There's a way to fix this by reducing the Double-Click distance and disabling "enable press and hold for right-clicking" (if you are running under Vista). Under XP, Maya was fine.

    I'll try Zbrush this weekend.
