Do people still get errors and BSOD with switchable graphics in their Thinkpads using Vista? (Unable to use discrete graphics while gaming, BSOD using laptop screen+ ext monitor)

I have been on the fence for a t400 or t500 for a while now and I am wondering if Lenovo has issued some new switchable graphics drivers.
EDIT: I have done some searching and found out as of February this is still a problem?

As for the drivers, are the Intel and ATI graphics drivers seperately installable/updatable or is the user reduced to only relying on Lenovo-provided "combined" drivers?

This is latest status. 8.56 driver is Catalyst 8.12 and 8.59 driver is part of Catalyst 9.3.
The switchable graphics driver is a separate driver developed by ATI (NOT by Lenovo) although it includes support for the Intel integrated graphics. It is Vista only.
are there still switchable graphics driver problems?
