    audio via displayport from X200t?

    Hello, I recently build a desktop and would like to retire my X200t for downloading movies and play them on TV. I would like to know if the displayport on the Ultrabase for the X200t is able to carry audio over to the TV?

    nope that is NOT possible, X200 can only allow video over displayport, only from X201, T410, T510, W510 generation did they start to have audio+video over displayport.

    So you have to think of another way of passing the audio over.

    Why not just buy a cable and connect the sound output from the ultrabase to the sound input on the TV separately, with another cable?

    he probably wants better sound quality. Also, with some TV when you are on the HDMI, it can input audio from the other audio jacks.
