    battery covered by the warranty?

    Is the battery covered by the warranty? :confused:

    Yes, to a certain extent. For example, if the battery's cells are defective and the battery drops to 50% of its design capacity in only one or two months, you can get it replaced.

    It is, however, not covered under extended warranties, I believe - if you purchase a 3-year warranty, the battery will still only have the base 1-year warranty.

    The warranty ends at Sep this year and I had T60 for almost 2 and half year, everything 's fine but the battery, it only holds for up to 45mins. Do u think it's still covered?

    battery warranty is normally only 1 year regardless of the length of extended warranty you purchased.

    It is not covered. Batteries are always with a 1 year warranty.

    I've had good luck with CalCellular batteries in the past. They also tend to be far cheaper than ordering from IBM/Lenovo ($65 for a 6-cell and $80 for a 9-cell).
